Economic evaluation of Estonian mineral resources

  • 1. Tallinn Technical Univ. (Estonia). Estonian Inst. of Economics

Description

The economic evaluation of Estonian mineral resources was carried out with the aim of elucidating their rational utilization. The mineral resources potential was calculated. The quantitative monetary estimation of the potential is presented and its structure analyzed for different mineral resources (oil shale, phosphorite, peat, etc.). Also the arrangement (preferences) of subpotentials according to different minerals is determined. The subpotentials are characterized by the amount of active reserves in the earth crust and the unit value of the latter. Based on the arrangement priorities of exploitation of mineral deposits can be defined. (author)
