The measurement of photodissociation rate in the optically pumped iodine laser

Description

In this experiment we have measured the photodissociation rate i-Csub(3)Fsub(7)I used in iodine photodissociation laser. To measure the photodissociation rate, we have used the threshold condition of laser oscillation. Using various neutral density filters with different optical density and three different output mirrors with various reflectances, we have 15% of photodissociation in i-Csub(3)Fsub(7)I at the pressure of 60 torr in the laser tube.
