Ion beam optics of the Harwell Tandem accelerator

Description

Calculations of the ion beam optics of the Harwell Tandem accelerator operated in tandem and single ended Van de Graaff modes are reported. Beam profiles have been calculated to assist in accelerator operation and development and to supply information required for target line design. A method of mounting a new ion source onto the accelerator is discussed. (author)
