Muon transfer in excited muonic hydrogen
- 1. Academy of Mining and Metallurgy, Krakow (Poland)
- 2. St. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute, Gatchina (Russian Federation)
- 3. Universitaet Muenchen (Germany)
Description
The rates of muon transfer between excited states of muonic hydrogen isotopes in hydrogen mixtures are presented as functions of collision energy. The electron screening was taken into account. The ground state population, q1S, was obtained for different collision energies, target densities and relative isotope concentrations, taking into account all muonic hydrogen cascade processes. The isotopic effect in energy dependence of q1S is also presented
