Study of the superdeformed nuclei in A=190 region with the cranking Bohr-Mottelson Hamiltonian

Description
Transition energies of 55 superdeformed bands in 20 nuclei of the A=190 region are studied with formulae derived from the cranking Bohr-Mottelson Hamiltonian and the level spins are determined. Mass parameter B1 and rigidity parameter C0 are obtained from the fitting parameters A and ℎω'. The B1 and C0 values show clear odd-even effects. Deviations from the simple model are discussed.
