  • 1. Meditsinska Akademiya, Sofia (Bulgaria). Nauchen Inst. po Rentgenologiya i Radiobiologiya

Description

Sexually mature female mice subjected to acute whole body irradiation by gamma rays 137Cs, receiving doses in the range 0, 2.58, 6.45, 9.03, 12.9 and 25.8 mC/kg. A radioprotective mixture, containing ATP, AET and serotonin, is introduced intraperitoneally prior to irradiation. The results of the histological study show marked toxicity of the combination both in terms of the controls, and in terms of doses up to 6.45 mC/kg. Whenever doses in the range 9.03 - 25.8 mC/kg are used, the protective effect is well expressed, and FRD in the various doses and stages varies between 3 and 11. (author)
