Description
Accelerator produced radioisotopes find wide application in the field of nuclear medicine. The positron emitters required for high resolution positron emission tomography (PET) are of particular interest. In the last decade efforts on development of accelerators and target technology have greatly increased. A survey is presented on the recent trends and developments in the area of accelerators used for production of radioisotopes for PET. (author)
