Temperature effect on strength and fracture of copper and nickel durng splitting-of
Description
Data are presented concerning temperature effect on strength and failure of copper and nickel during spalling. Critical levels of loading are determined within the temperature range (-196...800) deg C. They correspond to spalling damage formation and complete macroscopic failure. Peculiar period of loading is studied for its effect on strength of copper at room temperature of testing. Results of metalographic observations of spalling damage character are given for the metals studied
