Description
Full text follows: A Dymec quartz-crystal thermometer has been fitted to a rotating bomb calorimeter (ANL-R2) and is being used together with a Hewlett-Packard 12- channel printer and an electronic timer to provide simultaneous automatic printout of time and temperature. The computer program for calculating the corrected temperature rise in a combustion experiment has been modified to accept the automatic printout. Both the data-recording equipment and the computer program appear to have functioned satisfactorily when tested with a series of benzoic acid calibration runs.
