Can double beta decay solve the problem of the neutrino rest mass
Creators
Description
The 2ν double beta (ββ) decay of 130Te and 128Te is calculated in the BCS pairing model. A correct treatment of the phase space integral shows that the Pontecorvo argument leads to an incorrect half-life ratio. This has severe impact on the discussion of neutrinoless ββ decay and a possible neutrino mass. (orig.)
