Interaction of rare earth phosphates with calcium salts

Description
A study was made on interaction of rare earth phosphates (taking yttrium, erbium and lanthanum phosphates as examples) with calcium salts CaAnn (where An=F-, Cl-, SO42-, CO32-) at 600-1000 deg C in the presence of fusing agents. Character of phosphate decomposition by different salts was investigated. It is shown that CaF2 and CaCO3 interact with phosphates according to exchange mechanism. Calcium chloride and sulfate don't interact with rare earth phosphates
