Nonlinear wave conversion in an inhomogeneous plasma

Investigation into three-wave resonance interaction in smoothly inhomogeneous non-linear plasma is conducted. Stationary shortened equations for complex wave amplitudes are derived and solved in the approximation when typical inhomogeneity and nonlinearity parameters are mutually comparable. Conditions for effective plasma wave generation by two accompanying electromagnetic modes for simple synchronism point are determined. Evaluations point are determined. Evaluations for ionospheric plasma are given
