Development of a data base for the evaluation of energy technology

  • 1. Institute of Applied Energy, Tokyo (Japan)

Description

Energy supply systems with excellent safety, reliability, and economical features are required in order to secure a stable supply of energy. A failure record data base is needed for this purpose. Through standardization of definitions and failure criteria of components, through data sharing and ameliorated retrieval methods, etc., such a data base can be improved both in the quality and the quantity of failure records, thus lending itself to more extensive use.
