Influence of features of forces of interparticle interaction on crystal structure and temperature of γ-α-transformation in iron base alloys

Description
An attempt is made to analyze atomic mechanisms of martensitic transformation in iron base alloys. It is shown that potentials of Fe-Fe pair interaction transform and assure the stability of various structures on changing electron density in conduction band. It occurs either at the expense of the substitution of a part of three valence iron for atoms of lower valence or at the expense of electron binding with nonmetallic additions. Temperature phase transition is shown to be conditioned by the variation in entropy contribution to free energy
