Description
Flow electrolysis enables the exhaustive redox reaction rapidly even the electrochemically irreversible reaction such as reduction of actinide (V) ions. The flow electrolysis cell with platinized glassy carbon fiber working electrode which acts as electrocatalyst is effective to decrease overpotentials of reduction of NpO2+ and PuO2+. A rapid and precise method for the preparation of U, Np and Pu ions of desired oxidation state was proposed by taking advantage of the electrocatalytic reaction. (author)
