Fuels and combustion technologies for power generation. Feature of nuclear fuel
- 1. Japan Atomic Power Co., Tokyo (Japan)
Description
As fuels in the nuclear power plants were used enriched uranium enriching uranium-235 contained about 0.7% in natural uranium to 3 to 5%, recently the pluthermal plan using also plutonium extracted from used nuclear fuels is promoted. Here were described on characteristics of each fuel, and also on transition of improvement in fuel design and future trends on fuel development. (G.K.)
