P-odd asymmetry in emission of fragments from ternary fission of 239Pu by polarized thermal neutrons

Description
The P-odd asymmetry coefficient has been measured in emission of fragments from fission of 240Pu accompanied by a long-range α particle (ternary fission). The P-odd asymmetry coefficient was measured simultaneously in the same apparatus for fission into two fragments. The ratio of the P-odd asymmetry coefficients in ternary and binary fission turned out to be 0.71±0.18
