The imaginary part of the relativistic nucleon-nucleus optical potential at 50-200 MeV
Description
The imaginary part of the relativistic optical potential is calculated in the Walecka model for nuclear matter. Large imaginary Lorentz scalar and vector contributions are found each of order 100 MeV (at 180 MeV incident energy). These agree well with phenomenological relativistic optical model results.
