Prompt control of thermal-hydraulic stability margin in steam-generating channels

Description

The possibility of determination of the thermal-hydraulic stability margin for a steam-generating channel is experimentally studied using spectral analysis of pressured drop noises at the input throttle device and at the adjoining part of the channel. The experiments were carried out in a bench with electrically heated channels. The pressure drop noises were measured using three inductive pressure gages. On the basis of the data obtained the concept of dimensionless thermal-hydraulic stability margin of a steam-generating channels introduced. This concept provides for diagnostics of steam-generating channels with no preliminary calibration of the primary measuring gages
