Derivation of the generalized frequency spectra of moderator atom oscillation from experimental double differential scattering cross section of slow neutrons

Description

The procedure of the derivation of the generalized frequency spectra for incoherently scattering moderator atoms realized in the SPECTR program written in the FORTRAN-4 lanquage for the BEMS computer is described. The problem of the derivation is solved by iterative method by taking into account effects of elastic (quasielastic), multiphonon and multiple scattering. The results of data processing using the SPECTR program are given both for ''paper'' and real experiment for zirconium hydrides and light water. It is shown that with increasing iteration number the model spectra given initially is approached to truth one
