Structure and thermal stability of nonequilibrium phases in Ni-Mo and Ni-W mechanically alloyed compositions
- 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
The method of mechanical alloying was studied as applied to Ni-Mo and Ni-W alloys. Within the composition range of 10 to 50 at.% Mo(W) the formation of two metastable phases is observed, namely, supersaturated solid solution of Mo or W on FCC Ni base and amorphous phase with 45 at.% Mo or W. Amorphization takes place on decomposition of Ni(Mo) and Ni(W) solid solutions. Thermal stability of mechanically alloyed metastable phase is preserved up to 600-610 deg C. 22 refs.; 2 figs.; 2 tabs
