Instrumental activation analysis of airborne dust

Description
In analysing an airborne dust sample to be used as a standard for X-ray fluorescence analysis, the following elements have been determined after neutron generator and reactor activation: Na, Al, Si, K, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Br, Sb, Cs, Ba, La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu, Yb, Lu, Hf, Ta, Au, Th, and U. A comparison with the crustal abundance (clarke) showed a significant increase of the values of Cu, Zn, As, Se, Br, Sb, and Au
