Effect of flow swirling intensity on coolant mixing in twisted tube bundles

Description

Calculational-experimental investigation of interchannel coolant mixing in twisted tube bundles in the Frm=63-1050 number range characterizing flow swirling intensity is carried out. Generalization of the results obtained for the effective diffusion coefficient is carried out using the methods of mathematical statistics. It is detected that the highest intensification of interchannel mixing is observed at the Frm=63-286. Dependence suggested for calculation of the effective diffusive coefficient allows to close the set of equations and to carry out thermohydraulic calculation of a heat exchanger with twisted tubes taking into account interchannel mixing
