Diagnosis and combined treatment of rectal cancer

The problems of combined treatment of patients with rectal cancer applying different forms of preoperative irradiation on tumoral focus and regional metastatic spreading reported. The materials on radiobiological substantiation, optimization and planning of preoperative tumor irradiation are presented, new trends in combined treatment of operable and locally spread rectal cancer are described.
