Description

Complete and Incomplete fusion have been studied extensively using both strongly (12,13C, 14N, 16O, 19F, 20Ne) and weakly bound (6;7Li, 9Be, 6;8He) projectiles. In this talk, I will give overview of experimental techniques and available theoretical models for fusion. Results from our recent measurements performed at BARC-TIFR Pelletron-LINAC facility, Mumbai will be presented. A compilation of available experimental data for complete and incomplete fusion, alpha particle production, neutron transfer and reaction cross sections was utilised to understand the systematic behaviour with strongly and weakly bound projectiles. Possible experiments at intermediate energy using upcoming VECC facilities will also be discussed. (author)
