Attractive channel for cooper pairing with ''s''-symmetry driven by the wavenumber-dependent renormalization of p- and d-electrons forming the Fermi quasiparticles on CuO2 plane of high-Tc cuprates

  • 1. Dept. of Physics, Nagoya Univ. (Japan)

Description

The quasiparticles around the Fermi level of the so-called d-p model are shown to behave as the mid-gap states on the basis of the formal theory of Fermi liquid together with the Gutzwiller-type approximation for estimation of the chemical potential. On its basis, it is shown that the wavenumber-dependent renormalization amplitude of p- and d-electrons, which reflects characteristic wavenumber dependence of the hybridization between p- and d-electrons on the CuO2 plane, leads to the attractive channel for ''s''-symmetry Cooper pairing even though the interactions among p- and d-electrons are repulsive.
