Estimates of charm production in exclusive neutrino reactions
Description
We present calculations of the cross sections for two types of exclusive charm-production reactions: the quasi-elastic processes νN → μ-(C0,C1,C1*) and the single-pseudoscalar-meson production processes νN → μ-K(C0,C1) and anti νN → μ+ anti D(Λ,Σ). With a set of reasonable assumptions we find that the ratio of the cross section for these exclusive channels to the inclusive noncharm cross section is approx. 4% for neutrinos and approx. 3% for antineutrinos
