Description
Diseases of pancreas, especially chronic pancreatitis and tumors of pancreas are the most common indications for surgical interventions on the pancreas. Despite a significant decrease in mortality after these operations, the number of postoperative complications remains relatively high. The concentration of patients in specialized centers reduces mortality and morbidity in these surgical procedures. (author)
