Resonant scattering of 238 keV γ-rays emitted by 119Sn without recoil

Description

We have observed the photons re-emitted by 119Sn after resonant absorption of photons emitted without recoil by 119Sn*. The value at about 90 deg. K of the Debye-Waller factor measured by this method is in good agreement with the value obtained by transmission. Abstract (French)

Nous avons observe les photons reemis par 119Sn apres absorption resonnante de photons emis sans recul par 119Sn*. La valeur du facteur de Debye-Waller, a environ 90 deg. K, mesuree par cette methode, est en bon accord avec celle mesuree par transmission.
