Local magnetic moments formation on nonmagnetic impurities in dilute chromium alloys above Neel point

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

The model of magnetic moment formation on a nonmagnetic impurity, differing sufficiently from Anderson model is considered in the framework of the theory of spin density waves (SDW) in zonal antiferromagnetics with congruent sections of Fermi surface. It is shown that the ''local phase transformation'' with formation of the region of short-range magnetic order (''ocal SDW'') close to the impurity can take place in paramagnetic phase under certain conditions. Experiments on measuring temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility in dilute Crsub(1-x)Vsub(x) alloys were analyzed from this viewpoint
