Overview of LHCD and long-pulse ohmic operation on HL-1M
Description
HL-1M tokamak is a circular cross-section device with conventional toroidal magnetic field coils (R/a = 102 cm/26 cm). The goal of the LH-1M programme is to develop high power auxiliary heating (NBI, ICRH, ECRH) and non-inductive current drive (LHCD) technology and physics which are required for our next tokamak, HL-2A. This paper describes experiments using LHCD and ohmic discharges lasting up to 4 seconds. (author)
