Protva data bank for conservation and utilization of experimental data from BFS1, BFS2 and KOBR zero power fast critical facilities

  • 1. SSC RF IPPE, Bondarenko Sq., 1, Obninsk, Kaluga region 249020 (Russian Federation)

Description

PROTVA data bank was established to document and to treat experiments at BFS1, BFS2 and KOBR (SSC RF IPPE, Russia) fast critical facilities. At the beginning it was considered as a section of the European data bank SNEDAX though finally it has become independent. It contains sufficient information to describe exact position and nuclear content of every mock-up material for each assembly. PROTVA involves necessary data on them as well as description of experimental tools and data on different types of experiments. Data blocks of experimental section are established for those experiments which receive the most emphasis in the program. Descriptions of experimental methods are also included. There are some graphic sections in PROTVA to present geometry description of core configurations and conditions of each experiment. PROTVA generates input files of core configurations to a number of reactor codes (ECCO, MCNP4) which considerably facilitates a procedure of creating calculational models
