Description
The simple phenomenological model is used to describe the low-energy O+ spectra and EO transitions in 112Cd and 114Cd. The comparison between the calculated and experimental results shows that the strong unharmonicity of the hamiltonian generates the low-lying O+ states located underneath the first 2+ states. The transition from these lowest four boson O+ states to the ground state is forbidden, but there is strong EO transition probability from three boson states to these four boson states. The model proposed, although very simple in character, is capable of reproducing most of the features of low-lying spectra and the transition probabilities in 112Cd and 114Cd isotopes. 2 figs.; 6 refs
