  • 1. Shanghai Municipal Radioactive Waste Dispasal Experimentation Center (China)

Description

The authors report the methods and results of investigation of natural radionuclides in soil in Shanghai. The collecting points of soil are the same as those for environmental measurements of ground γ-radiation dose rate. 173 soil samples were collected and analysed by γ-spectrometry. The results show that the area-weighted mean of 238U, 226Ra; 232Th and 40K was 37.5, 35.2, 53.3 and 640.2 Bq/kg, respectively. The point-weighted mean of 238U, 226Ra, 232Th and 40K was 37.5, 35.5, 53.5 and 641.9 Bq/kg, respectively
