Description
Measurements have been carried out recently to investigate the origin of the enhancement in the γ-ray energy spectrum at Eγ=3-8 MeV in spontaneous fission of 252C. In order to check the correctness of the statistical model predictions and experimentally identify directly the isotope responsible for the γ-ray enhancement measurements were carried out in which the fission fragments have been selected by getting on their known low energy γ-ray transitions
