Quantitative analysis of water heavy by NMR spectroscopy
Description
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance has been applied to a wide variety of quantitative problems. A typical example has been the determination of isotopic composition. Two different analytical methods for the determination of water in deuterium oxide are described. The first one employs acetonitril as an internal standard compound and in the second one calibration curve versus amount of D2O is constructed. Both methods give results comparable to those of mass spectrometry of IR spectroscopy. (author)
