Description

Gold and magnetite (Fe3O4) composite nanoparticles were prepared by a combination of unique laser processes in water. Pulsed laser ablation in liquid (PLAL) was employed to produce high pure gold nanoparticles and the successful gold/magnetite composite nanoparticles formation by a 'nano-soldering' effect was confirmed. The irradiation effect on the magnetic properties of the magnetite nanoparticles was investigated
