Contribution to the study of potassium excretion by the kidney. Arguments in favour of a passive distal mechanism
Description
This research focusses on potassium tubular excretion as one of the mechanism of urine elaboration from blood plasma. The author first presents the principle of interrupted diuresis, and the different techniques used in this study. She reports the study of concentration variations for different ions (Na+, K+, Cl-), of modifications brought by interrupted diuresis to urine composition in the distal zone, of ion membrane potentials as calculated in the distal zone at the equilibrium, and of the permeability of the distal tubular epithelial to ions
