Description
Variations in depletion parameters have different effects on fuel assembly isotopic composition influencing the calculated reactivity of the discharged fuel. In the depletion analysis sufficiently conservative assumptions should be employed to ensure that the nuclide content of the fuel is conservatively represented. The effect of several depletion parameters on the storage rack reactivity is investigated. Realistic range of NPP Krsko operational parameters is taken into account and the sensitivity of the storage rack reactivity to those parameters is determined. CORD-2 package with the WIMSD-5B depletion code has been used to calculate fuel isotopic composition. Criticality calculations were performed with the SCALE-4.4 package and the 44-group ENDF/B-V derived cross section library.(author)
