Experiences with the radiotherapy of 2436 epidermal carcinomas with special emphasis on the location

In order to determine the exact irradiation doses histological examination was carried out in each case and in 140 cases radiosensitivity was controlled in tissue culture. Basaliomas were treated with a total dose of 5000 R, spinomas with 6000 R both in 500 R fractions, using either a Tu-R-80 or a Dermopan equipment. 96% of the tumors healed without recidive. Data on the healing of tumors with different locations and different histology are given in full details. (L.E.)
