Super high-power klystron for plasma test apparatus JT-60
- 1. Japan Atomic Energy Research Inst., Naka, Ibaraki. Naka Fusion Research Establishment
Description
A super-high-power, long-pulse klystron for use in lower hybrid resonance heating in the JT-60 has been developed. This klystron has the following unique features : (1) 1 MW output power of 10 second duration at 2 GHz, (2) a frequency coverage range of 1.7 to 2.3 GHz, (3) stable operation even with a large amount of reflected power, (4) a simple cooling scheme that utilizes a vapor-phase cooled collector.
