Some radiometric problems of activation analysis

  • 1. Institute of Nuclear Research, Warsaw (Poland)

Description

The three problems of applied gamma-ray spectrometry and nuclear radiation counting which were encountered in an analytical practice and investigated in our department for the last ten years are presented. These problems are: detectability with particular reference to detectability of short-lived isotopes, evaluation of peak areas in complex gamma spectra and resolution enhancement in Ge-Li gamma-ray spectra by simple numerical procedure suitable for small computers.
