Photoproduction of neutral pions in the region of the fourth nucleon resonance
Description
We report the measurement of the differential cross section of the reaction γ+p → π0+p at a photon energy of 1.4 GeV and pion c.m. angles between 60 and 175 degrees. The angular distribution confirms the simple quark model prediction of a pure magnetic excitation of the F37(1950) resonance. (orig.)

Wir berichten ueber die Messung des differentiellen Wirkungsquerschnitts der Reaktion γ+p → π0+p bei einer Photonenenergie von 1,4 GeV und Schwerpunkts-System-Winkeln der Pionen zwischen 60 und 175 Grad. Die Winkelverteilung bestaetigt die einfache Voraussage des Quark-Modells, dass die F37(1950)-Resonanz rein magnetisch angeregt wird. (orig.)
