Study on the signal waveforms of drift chamber with GARFIELD program

Description

The research work on the signal waveforms of drift chamber with GARFIELD program is described. The typical waveforms of He-based gas mixture small cell drift chamber in the condition of single point ionization are carefully studied, and the influences of the field distribution and electron diffusion are considered. The results will be the basis for the study on the relationship between the waveform of the multi-point ionization created by the track and the accuracy of the drift time measurement
