Description
The self-consistent RPA (SRPA) with separable residual interaction is applied to the description of Eλ giant resonances (multipole collective oscillations of valence electrons) in nuclei (metal clusters) of different shape. the method drastically simplifies RPA calculations, providing nevertheless reasonable agreement with available experimental data.
