Description

The description is given of a structure for reducing the convection currents inside the vessel of a fast neutron reactor of the kind which comprises a core, inside a vessel, placed on a supporting structure and a second vessel located inside the first and surrounding the core. An annular space is provided between the outer surface of the core and the second vessel. The structure is formed of a hollow metal ring fixed by its lower part on the periphery of the supporting structure and located in the annular space. The walls of the ring are provided with holes. The width of the ring is less than that of the annular space and height is at least equal to that of the core

Abstract (French)

On presente une structure de reduction des courants de convection a l'interieur de la cuve d'un reacteur nucleaire a neutrons rapides du type comportant a l'interieur d'une cuve un coeur place sur une structure de supportage et une deuxieme cuve placee a l'interieur de la premiere et entourant le coeur. Un espace annulaire est menage entre la surface exterieure du coeur et la deuxieme cuve. Elle est constituee par une couronne metallique creuse fixee a sa partie inferieure sur la peripherie de la structure de supportage et situee dans l'espace annulaire. Les parois de la couronne sont munies d'orifices. La couronne a une largeur inferieure a la largeur de l'espace annulaire et une hauteur au plus egale a la hauteur du coeur
