Fluxionality of uranyl β-diketonate-base complexes. Behavior of uranyl trifluoroacetylacetonate-dimethyl sulfoxide
Creators
Description
The FNMR spectral behavior of a mixture of the cis and trans uranyl trifluoroacetylacetonate-dimethyl sulfoxide complexes indicates that base migration rather than anion rotation is the preferred intramolecular rearrangement path. The intramolecular nature of the process is consistent with the lack of correlation between the fluxional rate and the heats of solution of a series of bases which yield rearranging hexafluoroacetylacetonate complexes
