Stress analysis for the cooler of lead-bismuth loop based on fluid-solid coupling
- 1. Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hefei (China)
Description
The objective is to perform the stress analysis and strength evaluation of the cooler of liquid lead-bismuth loop KYLIN-Ⅱ by using fluid-solid coupling method. First, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis of the cooler was completed in the ANSYS Fluent software, then the temperature results were imported to the ANSYS Mechanical software as thermal loads. Subsequently, regarding the press caused by fluid, static structure analyses were carried out in two different conditions. Finally, stress classification and strength evaluation were done based on standard JB4732-95. It indicated that strength of the cooler could meet design requirements. So the design proposal of the cooler was reasonable. (authors)
