Description

The filter is designed in such manner that it will resist all loads - including earthquake - without loosing its operability. It consists of a box formed by stable corner irons filled with absorbing material and bounded on two sides by sieves through which the radioactive gases can flow in and out. The invention especially concerns the configuration of the perforations and the screwing of the casing elements to the frame as well as the arrangement in the concrete wall. Measures for fire fighting are also provided for. (UWI)

Abstract (German)

Das Filter ist so aufgebaut, dass es allen Belastungen - auch bei Erdbeben - standhalten soll, ohne seine Funktionsfaehigkeit zu verlieren. Es handelt sich um einen aus stabilen Winkeleisen gebildeten Kasten, der mit Absorptionsmaterial gefuellt und an zwei Seiten durch Siebe besprengt ist, welche die radioaktiven Gase ein- und austreten lassen. Die Erfindung betrifft insbesondere die Anordnung der Durchbohrungen und Verschraubungen der Gehaeuseelemente mit dem Rahmen sowie der Anordnung in der Betonwand. Auch sind Massnahmen zur Brandbekaempfung vorgesehen. (UWI)
