Controlled fusion and plasma physics
Description
More than 440 papers were presented at the 16th European Conference on Controlled Fusion and Plasma Physics in Venice, 13-17 March, 1989, sponsored by the Plasma Physics Division of the European Physical Society. A small number of these papers contained the most significant results of many of the world's major fusion experiments: JET, TFTR, JT-60, Doublet III-D, T-10, Wendelstein VII-AS, the L-2 Stellarator, and the OMEGA ICF system. A summary of these papers is given in this report, along with some comments on the role of edge physics and impurities in plasmas
